Contrary to the common negative scenarios depicted by mianstream media and politicians, we have a wealth of solutions at hand that can create a world that works for all, decreases destruction, pollution and exploitation, regenerates degenerated landscapes, creates billions(!) of sustainable jobs and overcomes poverty in every part of the globe. And - also to have awesome schools, by the way!

This is not wishful thinking, but every bit of this has been realised, has affected millions, receives awards left and right and this is what the world's leading changemaker communities advocate on major summits like recent www.reworktheworld.org in Sweden (June 2010). Positive News Media Culture is about making this fantastic knowledge available in fresh and friendly format, easy to read for all.

YL receives excellent reader feedback from all corners of the globe, all cultures, professions and age groups.

We have a powerful approach of getting this knowledge out around the globe by involving close to a thousand online volunteers coordinating, translating, writing, taking outreach measures, organising events and even launching National and Local Editions.

And this is where you come into the picture.

One single person can take this world of solutions into schools at no cost - by simply printing our articles and setting up a Positive News Board within minutes. This is a space where students can get inspired by global innovation, for classroom discussion and projects. It is also a great space for posting and sharing local projects and initiatives, so the local change oriented students get to know each other and unite for action.

On top of this, we include action items in YL, campaigns (also to be posted in schools!) on global crisis issues but also on advocacy for replication of great practice solutions.

Any positive change committed group of citizens, youth or students can join for launching a Local or National Edition backed by our global network.

This way, activists can highlight local initiatives and connect with schools, citizens and media to amplify local positive change.

Besides connecting with innovative thinkers like you, it is our aim to connect with the young generation worldwide. The more millions get to know about feasible, applied alternatives, the more we accelerate positive change.

Since the biggest, easiest and least tapped multiplier space for reaching young people is schools worldwide, we have designed YL Magazine at the crossroads of civil society, sciences, citizenship, youth, media and education. In an easy format to take cutting edge change-making knowledge and action INTO SCHOOLS.

We have been awarded triple status as Official Project of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014.

This fact enables any caring child, youth, student, educator or parent to connect with us and set up a Positive News Board in school - to make the real thing available! It takes only 15 minutes, every two weeks. Available daily, it will change the way young people see the world. It will open amazing doors to those eager for change.
