Amazing, inspirational track by GSP, remixing Barack Obama's 'Yes We Can' speech lyrics.

Changemaker spirits ~ for the full experience, try this:

disconnect your mind from the context of a US Presidency candidate. Instead, imagine a global messenger delivering this speech to humankind. Yes We Can! Let's shift to a global, peaceful, just and sustainable civilisation, in omnicultural cooperation and celebration.

Why play with the change of perspective mentioned above?

The fact that Barack Obama is now U.S. President, alongside an inspirational media campaign must not delude attention from the fact that all of us must take action forward. Barack is not in a position to do it all. His presidency helps produce a climate under which social innovators can act. But the action must come from everyone. He says so himself in his speeches. Never a 'Me' but an 'Us'!

Taking a very critical look, and staying atop the raging river of inspirational speech with a clear head is necessary. Last not least because the political sphere is laden with too many negative stakeholders than to entrust a single person or group with achieving the visions promised. The plain truth of politics as a dirty business clearly tells this. In the very worst case, the Obama campaign would be the most powerful proganda ever created. This need not be so. No, Barack's political past and appearance do convey a magnificient, honourable positive change character. See his political agenda and the initiatives he supported @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barack_Obama

However, already, the heavy pressure of conventional political frameworks have produced measures under the Obama administration that are not living up to sound knowledge and ideals that Barack is associatied with.

This may not be due to himself or his supportive environment, but to political frameworks requiring support from all the other 'normal' politicians that have not had priorities for sustainability and positive change so far (no matter what political party) and the major stakeholders like corporations that exert most heavy influence in politics.

- Carbon Capture Sequestration CCS is not a solution in terms of CO2 minimisation, but a money engulfing delay orchestrated by Big Energy corporations that may lead to catastrophic consequences (1. misleading the public about ir/responsible government measures, 2. scaling of the technology to significant scale is impossible in meaningful time frames, 3. severe increase of electricity prices, 4. delay of investment and shift to renewable energy, 5. lack of storage capacity, 6. underground storage ... for thousands of years? millions of years?, 7. uncontrollable leakage of enormous amounts of underground stored CO2 through cracks in the ground to aquifers, the atmosphere, 8. sustaining centralised, unsustainable Big Energy structures instead of creating flexible de-centralised grids, etc.;

If you have interest in a true shift to sustainable energy models for your future, viewing Hermann Scheer explain: Big Energy's Last Stand, The Energy Conflict, The Big Energy Lie @ www.bigpicture.tv/categories/energy/speakers/15416f775 is recommended; links for Hermann Scheer @ http://www.google.com/search?q=hermann+scheer&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:de:official&client=firefox-a).

- The response to the Financial Crisis is detrimental. It does not address the corrupt core of the problem. Bill Moyers, whom we may well consider one of the United States' most outstanding journalists with an incomparable track record of investigative journalism, discusses this issue in this PBS television interview. PBS is the United States' public television channel. This makes it least dependant on commercial interests and allows high quality independent journalism.

Black @ http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/04032009/watch.html is recommended; Links for Bill Moyers @ http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=bill+moyers&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g5)
