YOUTH LEADERSHIP ESSENTIAL #1
Role Models
80% of human behavior is shaped by role models, much of it subconsciously.
This also works via media.
Role models are also our strongest asset in phases of Transformational Learning:
Young changemakers are incredibly inspirational – they awaken our inner hero*ine. They also equip us with people-powered solutions for all youth to wield.
They are KEY to inspiring a sense of action among children and youth, and also among adult allies, to offer diverse support.
“The most inspirational videos I’ve ever seen. It makes me feel I want to get up and do something, too.”
Our priority is to make hero*ine role models omni-present in our daily lives at home, school, work, in public space and media. Use our diverse media, tools and tricks to do so.
EXAMPLES
“I never knew young people could do this. this gives me so much hope.”
“I am literally in tears.”
I am especially impressed by the effect it has on our younger siblings
