DISCOVER YOUTH LEADERSHIP + YL

AND LEARN HOW TO TAKE PART

YOUTH LEADERSHIP

“(Training) young people as agents of change in their communities”

means that “teens exercise authority over themselves, self-organize activities, guide peers and pass on leadership once they move on.”

Adults are not involved, except for early inspiration or for support on demand, as allies or project partners.

This is not to be confused with youth participation or youth voice. This benchmark helps understand best:

In practice, it means that kids and teens change lives, land, learning, laws and industries at relevant scale for society. In fact, they often outperform adults and even big budget organizations. We know why and you will, too.

You may that that is rare in your county, country or even on your continent. Or non-existent.

In North America, however, it has been part of civic education for 50 years.

Today, in context of global learning, social media and escalating crisis, it is taking on truly spectacular dimensions. Teenage changemakers are popping up all over the continent, also without training. It practically never means protest (and waiting). It means doing projects implementing solutions by oneself, fast. One group has made creating a good world for all part of learning culture at over 20,000 schools. And that’s precisely what all of us in the world need to see and learn from. Because no matter if this “sport” is entirely new to you or not – what kids and adult allies can do in one place, kids and adults everywhere can do it.

This exhibit tells their stories.

It’s a must for everyone that cares to protect peace, Life on Earth and our Good dreams.

So get some crackers and upgrade your mind- and do-set!

This multimedia journey into the fascinating world of youth leadership is stunning, mentally and emotionally intense. It will touch and blow up your heart real big and make it beat real hard. That’s good.
