UPLIFTING SPIRIT
What’s the spirit like among your local youth? Bored? Timid? Low energy?
These youth grow up in what a few years ago was the most criminal town on Earth, plus with two hundred years of colonialism, genocide, children taken away from their parents and extreme racism that is still prevalent today. They could play gangster and hurt others to make money giving all kind of reasons like some oh so difficult upbringing, poverty, blame white society etc blabla.
They don’t.
LISTEN AND FEEL THEM.
Where is YOUR society failing?
For a moment, look away from national parliament, look at everything that’s not on tv news. Look EVERYWHERE ELSE. Be concrete. What do you know needs doing? And then : How should things be?
Well then, get going. Or you stay part of the problem. You choose not to heal the suffering.
And then, you truly have reason to be ashamed of yourself.
You know times are changing. So seize your surprising new opportunities, get a cup of tea and explore how you, too, can take many roles and swift steps to spark youth leadership in your region and faraway #bemoreawesome.
In the Crash Course, we also look at what teen hero*ines say about school.
They have a good experience at school and excel academically,
since as they live their passion, theirs neurons are on fireworks + they have lovely friends across classes and years + they collaborate with teachers.
All that’s needed is to make youth leadership part of life at school through Changemaker Student Clubs. It comes natural for teachers to use solution stories to bring global issues to life and involve active youth as mentors.
The Crash Course is designed to activate a class in 90-180 minutes and enable them to self-organize action on their favorite causes, to activate their peers and city in interaction with a global Tribe of partners.
