FEATURED RESOURCE

STARTER BUNDLE

Trees play a vital role in creating clean air and water, a healthy climate, and providing habitats for wildlife. Understanding this supports the drive to make an impact, and allows students to make connections in and out of the classroom.

This lesson is designed to introduce students to the environmental benefits of trees through the 6 pillars of why trees matter, and asks students to understand the value of planting trees through reforestation.

TEACHERS ARE IMPORTANT. THEY INSPIRE US WITH SOLUTIONS OR SIMPLY WITH COOL STUFF. Still, it has to be youth that own the project.

My work with T-G-I-F has greatly improved my confidence, my grades, my friendships and even my family relations. All our team members say that it has improved their academic performance. This is why the work YL does is so important.

FOR YEARS, I HAD TRIED TO MOTIVATE MY STUDENTS, IN VAIN. THE DAY WE WATCHED XIUHTEZCATL’S SPEECH AT THE UN WAS LIKE A WAKE-UP MOMENT FOR THE ENTIRE CLASS. SINCE THIS DAY, PROJECTS ARE PART OF OUR LIFE AT SCHOOL.
