This updates worldview on youth power, active citizenship and people-powered solutions for global issues, which are often traumatizing and suffocating in scale. Hero solution stories provide tangible vision and hope.

Deepen the experience of individual inspiration through stories with feeling passion for people and planet, shared by all students – which is a rare experience and opens the door to self-organized, student-powered, long-term follow-up, on a solid foundation of respect for active youth / student peers, solidarity with their initiatives and willingness to help and trust in getting support for one’s own ideas and activities. This is really good news!

Give Youth Leadership into the hands of … Youth Leaders, those with a passion for making it their sport. They are the ones to make it present 24/7, dream up new activities year-round, serving the entire school community, as ultimate role mentors and mentors to their peers, as experts and assistants to teachers.

Informal and Transformational Learning take place in every sphere of life. It is mostly outside school that inspiration and information are turned into practice – at relevant depth and time to achieve effect. This is true for sport, for health, for art. It is also true for changemaking. Together we use the potentials of school to the max – which is fabulous… 8 hours daily, in class, clubs, projects… but there are also other spaces for youth leaders to APPLY their skills and  EDUCATE OTHERS – in the family, in public, in media … to educate and empower the general public. Hence, expand your vision and area of operation to the grand public by using specific activities and occasions perfectly fit for use in eudcational context.

Let’s remember the PURPOSE OF SCHOOLING : to educate able, active, caring citizens!

So put our worries about our busy lives aside for a moment. This stuff is happening at thousands of schools already (rich or poor, failing or famous), and you have hope to achieve your adult and professional aspirations for giving the young generation the proper knowledge heart and skills and contacts they need to achieve … in this critical time of shifting to the next level good sustainable civilization.

I am super confident that you can do, rather swiftly, and will enjoy it … especially seeing the many surprising sparks among students awakening to their hero*ine selves. Simply begin with the first steps. And let enthusiasm and positive feedback carry you. If it becomes hard and dire, drop it! It’s not meant to be hard or put extra strain and stress on teachers. But give it that try. You know you owe it to yourself. 

Me and the hero*ines are here to help you as best as we can. And remember … all these steps are prepared, simple, tuned to be a win-win to what you’re doing anyway, subjects and special occasions. At very least, you’ll experience more interested and smiling students. At very best, you’re sparking flocks of Gryffindores to spend your life with and watch them transform your entire city, region and beyond for your next thirty to sixty years.
